Choose a system,
not just a sound.
Field note / IVElven names in modern fantasy owe much to constructed languages and decades of game lore. The useful lesson is consistency: decide which sounds, word endings, family forms, and metaphors belong to one elven society. Do not mix every recognizable elf trope into a single name.
Start with the generator closest to the character or place you are building. Save a small shortlist, then compare it with the rest of your cast. Distinct initials and rhythms reduce confusion, while shared elements can establish family, region, rank, or ancestry.
The instant tools run in the browser and can be used without an account. The optional AI mode is separate, clearly labeled, cached to conserve compute, and never required to access the main generator.
