Field note / I

Class names work best when they suggest a life beyond a character sheet. A surname can preserve an old profession, an epithet can record a deed, and a formal title can reveal who trained the character. The generators in this collection use different sound banks for martial, arcane, sacred, natural, and shadowed roles.

Start with the generator closest to the character or place you are building. Save a small shortlist, then compare it with the rest of your cast. Distinct initials and rhythms reduce confusion, while shared elements can establish family, region, rank, or ancestry.

The instant tools run in the browser and can be used without an account. The optional AI mode is separate, clearly labeled, cached to conserve compute, and never required to access the main generator.
